The Story Behind BRC
Founder Jeremiah has been passionate about RC cars for years, spending time customizing everything from paint jobs to lighting and minor performance mods. But one thing always frustrated him—RC cars didn’t drive like real vehicles.
After discussing these limitations with his friend Brian, an engineer and close friend, Brian developed a prototype: a controller module that plugs in and transforms RC handling. That prototype became the foundation of Back Road Controls, a company built for those who believe RC should be more than just a toy—it should be an experience.
What’s Next?
Right now, we’re focused on getting the OTTR into the hands of RC enthusiasts who want a realistic driving experience.
But this is just the beginning. Here’s where we’re headed:
- Refining OTTR 3.7 based on user feedback, improving its control and adaptability.
- Developing the BRC community – future plans include an interactive platform where RC drivers can geo-tag their crawls, compare runs, and share trails—like an AllTrails for RC enthusiasts.
- Expanding our reach – engaging with RC groups, attending competitions, and bringing Otter Pilot to more drivers looking for precision performance.
